We, elvaerwyn and punkduck have opened a user group for Makehuman artists to showcase their work in a joint gallery.

The group was created to show the diversity of art, where MakeHuman was involved. MakeHuman is used as a basis for a lot of characters used in art of different styles and methods, like creation of comics and cartoons,animations, full scenes in Blender and other software or using only parts of the human body combined with technical or artificial elements.

A new alpha of the upcoming 1.2.0 release is now available. You can find release notes and download links at http://www.makehumancommunity.org/wiki/Releases:120a2. Please read at least the "known issues" section before downloading.

Long-time users of MakeHuman will remember a time when the nightly builds were the go-to place to get the most stable and functional code. After the first stable release of the 1.1.x branch, the nightly builds have been in a hiatus, since there were not enough code changes to warrant the whole build procedure. 

The first beta for version 1.1.1 is now available for download. Read on for download links.

RC3 has now also been uploaded for OSX. It's available in the nightly directory.
