Description:
This one is tricky! If you don't get the sequence right, vertices will have more than 8 poles, and therefore won't compile in MakeClothes. Also, just this is a very data-intensive mesh, so I'm going to create the belt buckle (clasp?) separately. Finally, this mesh won't load properly into my present unstable version of Makehuman, but the wavefront object imports and exports into several versions of Blender without a problem.

Might just as well have made
Might just as well have made it a texture with transparency and not overcomplicated the mesh.
Depends on your goals...
I've tried the transparency approach--check out my eyebrow and eyelash posts--and I have to agree with Manuel. If your workstation can handle it, a true mesh is better, because every renderer can work with it. I prefer Yafaray, but it doesn't do transparencies without a lot of delicate set-ups.
