Sorry but I'm a beginner and could not understand anything. What does this actually do? And what should the last line "Subdivision surface level 2 recommended." mean?

2. 'Sub division surface' is terminology that refers to procedurally deviding the mesh into smaller (quads) to smooth the appearance of a rendered 3D mesh object. This pecise terminology may be Blender-specific (I'm not sure) but amyway "level 2" means to subdivide the quads two times.
