Importing textures into Blender

Postby granadajose » Sat Jan 28, 2012 1:39 pm

Hi all,

I have successfully imported a MakeHuman model into Blender, but the textures does not appear at all and when I render the model, the result is empty.

I have tryed to copy the texture into the same directory where the exported .mhx model is, but the result is always the same. What can I do to load correctly the textures?

I am using Blender 2.61, the latest nightly build and Ubuntu 11-04. Could anyone please help me?

Many thanks!

I had the same problem yesterday. You have to update the import script for Blender.
As I compile MakeHuman directly from svn I'm not able to tell you where the script is in the nightly build. In the repository the path is:
Code: Select all
importers/mhx/blender25x/io_import_scene_mhx.py

You have to copy it to:
Code: Select all
blender-2.61-linux-glibc27-x86_64/2.61/scripts/addons/

... or similar if you don't use the 64bit version.

Many thanks for your help! In the send that was the problem. I just had to copy the files as you said, and then loading the texture file with the load image file in the Texture box of Blender and now the model renders perfectly.

Thanks again for your help!
