I'm looking for the following poses.

Climbing
Jumping
Hair Pulling
sleeping on side

I think this can be done in blender by changing the poses and exporting it out as BVH.

But how do we create the Thumbs and Meta Files for it? There's a couple of poses up on there
that have no thumbs or meta files so Make human can't recognize just a BVH file. it needs
also the thumbs file and the meta file for Make Human to use it.

When people post up their user contributed assets, they need to doublecheck that they got all the files
and that the filenames are correct.

For creating a pose see here: http://www.makehumancommunity.org/wiki/ ... e_poses%3F
Thumbs are simply renamed PNG-files, originally 128x128, though, IIRC, size doesn't really matter. You can use the build in preview renderer for creating thumbs.
Meta-files and thumbs are not mandatory.

For your supposed poses: you might want to search for the cmu- bvh database. These files should contain some of your desired poses. You could try to use them as templates via MakeWalk, though I don't think the files contain hand poses. Some postprocessing will be needed.

And oh, if you're in for more yoga, I'd love you if you were able to make a light meditation / lotus stance. When I try it the legs just looks totally twisted.

i actually have one but it has the same problem. i made it for a specific character so arm length is off for standard sizes. later today i will attempt to redo it with a skin target to fix the knee pinching

as for standardized poses do you prefer one pose for a gender neutral body assuming it will require tweaking, or is it better to make a male and female version of each pose? also would you prefer these poses to be more more natural or completely symmetrical?

I'm thinking any pose is better than no pose, even if it requires some tweaking.

I guess there might be an argument for having specific poses for normal cases such as male/fat/short or female/skinny/tall, but making all those specific poses sounds like a lot of work.
