Greetings Makehuman Team,
I'm a scripter and I had a quick question. I developed a system for a game engine and wanted to sell that system on their market. It's really the script system that I wrote which I am selling but was interested in providing a temporary example character model with it. Am I allowed to include a character model that I make using MakeHuman with my script system and sell it? Again, the character model would be used more as a placeholder so people can see how they can implement their own character models into the scripting system for the game engine.
You see, my team and I are developing our own character models from scratch but we also wanted to provide people with an option to just buy the script system we are using to implement our own character models into the game. Sort of like giving them an option to buy our entire kit or just buy the base scripts we use for that kit. I just need a simple character model that I can give a few morph targets to and throw into the script system as an example for my customers to follow if they just want the scripts. Can I do that with a MakeHuman character model? If I can, are their any requirements such as me being required to link to the MakeHuman site?
I tried to garnish this information from the legal stuff you have posted and I'm not good with legal talk.
I guess this can be rounded into a simple question.
Can I make a character model using MakeHuman and include it as an asset of a bigger product that I am selling?
Best Regards,
Nightasy
