Makehuman doesn't remember the pose - please help

Postby userb11 » Sat Jul 11, 2015 4:39 pm

Hello everybody!
I've just installed Makehuman 1.0 Alpha 6.0 at Kubuntu. I make different poses, and click "save" but the program doesn't remember the pose anyway. When I go to another part of the program, for example Expression or Clothes, the human returns again in T-positions.

What should I do, give me an advice, please.

It seems your are using MakeHuman that comes directly from Ubuntu. This version (Alpha 6) is slightly outdated. Better get a version from here: http://www.makehuman.org/download.php and try the nightly!

Seems phpbb interprets the last dot in the text line as interpunctuation and removes it from the url. There should be three dots in the url, but when you click the link you only get two.

So here's the url with an extra dot to trick phpbb. :-)

Unfortunatelly the debian package didn't install properlly, I don't know the reason, the system didn't say anything, and the nightly package is not compatible with my computer (the system said it). Obviously the program is not compatible (in the practice, for users without PhD in computer science) with Kubuntu 14.04. I regret about this, because I really liked it and if it was possible to save the pose, I would be a big fan of yours. Thank you all for the quick responce and wish you a good day.

Hi userb11,

you're on linux. This could sometimes be a little sophisticated. Did you try to install the packages from bash, using sudo dpkg -i <PACKAGE_NAME>.deb And could you post the error messages?

I'm using exactly kubuntu 14.04 and have no problem with it.

However, there is now a PPA for ubuntu too. Maybe you'd have more luck with it:
