Postby krollquink » Mon Jun 08, 2015 3:06 am

sorry, Im new here.

im importing .mhx file to blender and when i want to render it in blender, i need to set the texture of the models like shirt, genital, etc. is there any way when im exporting from Makehuman so that i can import to blender without setting the texture first so i can render with the shirt, etc without set it first?

It sounds as if you are using a very old version of MHX. Materials have been assigned by standard imports (collada/dae) and newer mhx versions (MHX2) for quite some time, although for cycles you'll have to start in blender internal mode and switch to cycles after import if you go via collada or some of the older mhx versions.

Either download a nightly build from http://download.tuxfamily.org/makehuman/nightly/ and export via collada/dae

Or download a nightly build (from the same link) and then also enable MHX2 from https://bitbucket.org/ThomasMakeHuman/m ... n-exchange

Hi,

any chance you could post of point me to a .blend file where a full character has been imported to Blender from MakeHuman, (where the textures are working with Cycles)?

I've been trying to do this for a couple of weeks, but still can't get it to work? It would be really great to have a working, blender file so I can check that there's nothing wrong with my setup? I'm working with the nightly builds, and mhx2.

Thanks,

Aj

Wow I feel really dumb - I was using a Python script I wrote to import my mhx2 file, but I did not set the render engine to cycles before doing the import    .

I move the line for use cycles render engine to before importing the mhx2 file, and everything works perfect now ;)

Silly mistake drove me nuts ???
