Quick (newbie) question

Postby Glowy123 » Sun Jul 27, 2014 2:24 pm

I am very new to these sorts of programs in general so please don't get mad at me but here's my question. In the Pose/Animate tab there is only the tab to modify the skeleton, no poses, expressions, animations unlike this image shows, Image
Is it maybe a problem with my makehuman? I'm using makehuman 1.0.1 so idk, I find blender to confusing to use and again i'm sort of new to this stuff, any help is appreciated. (and please don't refer me to another thread because i'd like it explained to me directly if possible). thank you :)

At the moment there's no way to pose or animate anything in MH. Expressions also don't exist anymore.

BTW: This is a very frequently asked question, but the threads with the answer usually hide behind a topic like "Quick (newbie) question".

The development team can give you a more technical answer, but from an artist's perspective, the reason was the move away from shape keys (aka morph targets) to poses. Shape keys are application-specific; what works in Blender does not work in Maya or Modo.

If the poses are in Open Collada format, they export to many more applications. You can try this yourself if you look through my posts.
I have an older Makehuman mesh and rig that works like a charm in Marvelous Designer.
