I love you all. Thanks to open source communities, I can finally afford to learn what I want to. One day when I am super rich and accomplished in the art world I will recoop you and Blender and GIMP for making my free time productive. It's organizations like yours that is making this economic nightmare I live, a blessing instead. There really are no words that can be said for the amount of freedom you give to the little guy and noob who felt as though the door to this world would be locked forever. For what it's worth, thanks to all of you.

Glad to have you. Don't forget to include Inkscape and OpenShot if you use Linux, or Inkscape and Lightworks if you use Windows. (I don't know squat about Macs, they're just OpenBSD to me). ;)

Which area of Makehuman development are you most interested in?

Hi all.
I am also new here even if I have heard about MakeHuman for a while.
I am a swedish photorealistartist and sometimes use 3Dgraphics as reference for my paintings.
This software will be very exciting!! to explore and use for that.

Welcome Johannes.
I think MakeHuman will serve very well as a drawing reference. What I've seen some people do is add a special texture to the human that shows a drawing where all muscles etc flow, which might be a good idea to try.

Also, we're always interested if you want to share results that you achieved with MH, or hearing about how you use MH to realise your works. This can give us ideas how to improve MH.

Hello! I am new to this software and surprisingly this may be a revolutionary step forward to achieving a very quick and efficient modeling alternative to the painstaking process of manual modeling of human characters. I wonder if this can also achieve cartoonish or anime-styled models? :)

Welcome!
We don't have a set of modifiers for classic anime yet, but this is a good example of what you can obtain with current MakeHuman:
