Proc. generation philosophy {devellopers answers needed}

For a student's final study project in Architecture field I'm higly interrested by the use of procedural generated content in a creativ process.
I would like to ask you a few question.
At the beginning this was planned to be send by PM to the dev of Make Human project, but since the new members can't send PM I figured “why doesnt ask directly thru a thread ?”

So, basically, this a devs oriented thread, but everyone is more than welcome to participate !

1 / Why did you stated this project in first place ?

2 / As concept, how do you plan the use of a software like MH in a creative process ?
Like a 'base layout' from wich user can work/evolve ? (used DURING a creative phase)
Like a way to quickly produce a finished product, without further work being done by user (used like a FINAL phase)
Or more like a way to experiment thing, maybe learn more about human anatomy ?

3 / Are you not affraid that your subjectivity of devellopers and your approach to human body reflect on your tools ? Binding the users creativity to a know road?
I know MH is based on physical and accurate data, but the question can be extended to the GUI design and the way you interract with the software begetting a way of seeing things.

4 / At wich point a software like MH can open new way of seeing/doing things ?

5 / At the beginning, I believe MH was a Blender addons. Why are you moved to a standalone structure ?
Does it reflect an industry politic ?

Thank you for your time, and excuse my poor english :)
