Compatibility tests

Postby Nadow » Thu Jul 30, 2009 11:51 am

In this topic I would like to post sompatibility tests.

Compiled from source (svn):

Ubuntu 9.04 64bit (amd64) - It works pefect! You need only the needed headers and libs (which you can download and install via package manager).

Fedora 11 64bit (amd64) - You can download and install the needed headers and libs via package manager. Except the python 2.5(.4) environment. You have to download it from the website (http://www.python.org/ftp/python/2.5.4/Python-2.5.4.tgz) and compile it yourself. Read the README file for instructions how to compile it. (For MakeHuman)In the terminal there are some error messages but the binary will be created. I don't know why this is diplayed?

If someone has successfully compiled MakeHuman, please post your reports.

Nightly builds are done on 32-bit ubuntu 8.04.1 LTS. I also regularly compile the source on a 64-bit Kubuntu 9.04.

Both machines ran

apt-get install libsdl1.2debian libsdl-image1.2 build-essential libsdl-console libsdl-perl libsage-dev libsdl1.2-dev libglu1-mesa-dev python2.5-dev

before installing (some of which are probably not necessary)
