I wondered if the pose was twisted on purpose, or if there is a bug in the rig file.

As for the textures, I think that's done on purpose, the textures of the model really look that way.
For the pose being weird, maybe SL forces a different rest pose that does not match? Or maybe has something to do with bone rolls.

actually the pose is a bit odd (its a doll pose very badly done).

Rotate Y has been renamed Rotate Z, because it is a rotation in the XY plane.
