Isn't that what the Rendering tab in MakeHuman already does?

The only feature makehuman really needs IMO is a perspective camera. It would really help when modeling from reference photos, or in modeling in general where you want to see how your character would look through human eyes without having to repeatedly export and re-export to blender. (A user made a fix for it in another thread, but unfortunately it seems you need to build from source to use it. )

Not an issue Python is NOT a compiled language period just make the changes to the right py files delete the old pyc file with the same name then re-launch MH now you have the perspective camera.

Enjoy the Choice :)

Aaargh ... I promise that I'm still searching for a better solution without changing parts of the library (I'm the user who changed the animation plugin to do it). I'm still learning, counting blanks and try to avoid tabs
Without brackets life has become complicated ... I'm a C and perl guy y'know ... so it is hell for me, but if I want to reach this, then I should not complain :geek:

Until now I never debugged the OpenGL part, I guess it is something with the z-depth (or however this thing is called).
Because parts of the character appear here and there and then disappear again (very weird) when you move the character around.

On the other hand: if it is a bug in the library, then I also may figure out why it is happening and will give an advise what is wrong. So it is kind of an exercise for me.

It's only in the source code on bitbucket.
edit: and changing the library shouldn't be a problem, if I can get someone to compile the new version for me.

No need to compile. Make the changes, delete the compiled files and run MH.

So I download the lib folder and put it in my makehuman, but is it even something that the makehuman exe can or will read unless you tell it to? (camera.py is at least not necessary to have in the folders for it to run. Or is there something I'm missing and there really is a lib folder hidden inside the makehuman download?)

Also, "delete the compiled files"? But you just said a few words ago there was "no need to compile"?

I was virtually prepared for that type of response. As far as realtime rendering is concerned, I agree with you. There could be a plugin that allows you to bridge makehuman for realtime rendering. It sounds simple but I know developers have to take time out to produce such a thing.

The bridge could show you what you are doing on the second screen or window!

Ya it really need a new shop type of content
& friend according to me....... Still I would say that render view must be there why I'm saying because if suppose you have created the whole character of your choice as MH permits
us to only see in texture mode & wire frame mode so what if at the same time you want to see your character in Rendered mode, like we always do in blender if are making something else since we always become sure that we are on a right approach of or mesh, now if a person wants to see his guy in MH as Rendered then he/she first need to export it to blender then to import from MH, wait for file to load then press Shift+Z to see in Rendered mode & it'll become headache to do so that's why I put on my needs in this discussion I hope you all can understand

A proper render takes time even blender's view-port render that ctrl+z is not instantaneous and the number of samples is low a real render of a 1000 or more samples take about an hour on my current box that is with the cycles render engine not blender internal as I do not use it for finished images much prefer the realism and control of the shaders for each material. Makehuman does provide an OpenGL render tab which should be good enough for quick decisions on the viability of any created character as Makehuman was never intended to be the final step in character creation it is the starting point in the workflow not the end point.
