Yes you can show the textures in the viewport: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pjsyNg9XnYk
Blender makes it a bit hard to set this up, though. I know.

Try this link
https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B8oZFWQ ... FmN2M/edit
put it into Blender.
I created it with 5120. Notice all the textures. They are there.

You should really use 1.0.0 stable, not the old release candidate. It's no longer supported, and meanwhile some issues have been fixed.

You are evading my question. Did you put the mhx file into Blender?

What do you want me to verify?

The file imports, but since MHX files do not contain textures (they merely contain references to external image files) do not expect textures to be present (unless I make sure there is a textures/ folder next to it in which I manually copied the right png files).

Yes indeed. You will no longer see these types of diffuse colors because most clothes have diffuse textures. In order not to put those textures not through a color filter, the diffuse color is pure white (which means: don't alter the diffuse texture color).
The difference between then and now is that now MH has a material format that actually allows transfering material properties, and visualizing them from within MH. In the past the material properties were defined in blender (if at all, and often were just arbitrary) and only worked for Blender.

Anyway, just enable textured view and it'll show properly.

When I export as .mhx then import into Blender my image is huge and cant seem to scale it down but if I bring it in as a .dae file I can scale it down but when I move it his skeleton and eyes fall out and his penis breaks off. I really like this program because i can make models so lifelike and then bring into blender and sculpt to make them look exactly like the model I want. But the .mhx wont scale down and the dae seems to fall apart and wont subdivide for a smoother look. any advice?

MHX is protecting you against silly things like that by locking all objects apart from the parent. :)
To move your MHX imported model, move the parent object, which is the armature. The rest will follow.
