This has been my main problem with other attempts at automatic quadding otherwise: On the margin there might only be a partially destructive option left in order to avoid the last few tris or ngons.
Later on this summer, I'll install a one-month version of MD 6.5, and do a lot of clothes, some of which will come from MH user contributions.
Then I'll post an analysis and comparison, using the latest Blender, and Meshlab.
I was hoping the Valentina people would have already done this, but they don't have a 3d export format yet.
