Where to download the nightly build packages for Linux?

Postby alexwbc » Mon Dec 26, 2016 1:42 pm

The official ppa is half year that doesn't update anymore: https://launchpad.net/~makehuman-offici ... ehuman-11x while Windows has a two month old build at least ( http://download.tuxfamily.org/makehuman ... -win32.zip )

any other source, other than compiling myself? https://bitbucket.org/MakeHuman/makehuman/

There are no nightly builds atm, for a few reasons:

* The unstable branch is very unstable. It should not be used by anyone except the very few people who develop for makehuman core. For example most of the clothes assets in the repo might be broken when used together with unstable
* For quite some time we encouraged people to use the nightly builds which then existed, rather than use the old 1.0.2 release. But now that code branch has been released (as 1.1.0), and we encourage almost everyone to use that rather than the development branch.

For now, people who want to participate in development and who won't mind getting something that will most likely not work as expected, can run from source per the instructions in http://www.makehumancommunity.org/wiki/ ... rom_source
