For the "big" Manuel (admin)

on a previous request for help on how to do this

Image

sent me the following information: "1) Create 6 different characters in MakeHuman
2) Import them in Blender[*]
3) Pose them (in that case I've not used a rigging, just a quick manual rotation)
4) Apply an interesting material (I've used a bit of sss)
5) Render in Blender."

Well, in step 4 to apply sss I do not get even close. Surely I'm doing something wrong, but I did follow the steps in the blender and trying different values.

Well, this time I would like to know:

1) Make this image is a work of minutes, hours or days? (to have a clue about the complexity)

2) Any chance of an explanation on this particular step (4) Apply an interesting item (I've used a bit of sss))

Since now. thank you very much .... Adriàn (argentina)

Minutes. Max 1 hour.

I just used a sss preset (Milk) playing a bit with the scale. It's very easy in Blender.
There are many articles about subsurface scattering in the web. For example:

http://wiki.blender.org/index.php/Doc:2 ... Scattering
and this (it's for old Blender but explain what sss is):
http://www.blender.org/development/rele ... cattering/
