MPFB2 asset errors (skin, eyes)

Hi,
I followed the getting started video for MPFB2 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9jmTdhVjAsI and I am able to make a new human and modify the slider settings, but I can't seem to add/load/apply and assets and I get an error dialog when I try to set the skin or load eyes. I found another post with the skin error but no resolution (viewtopic.php?f=3&t=23103)

Any thoughts?
