Where are my exports going?

So, I'm trying to export a figure I made, so I go into the export tab, choose my settings (mhx, use config options) pick a name and hit 'Export'. It doesn't ask me where I want to save to, but there's a pause and then I'm returned to the main modeling screen. I figure 'Okay, I guess that means it exported,' and so I go to look for the files. There isn't anything in my 'exports' folder and so I do a search inside the main MakeHuman folder for the name I typed in earlier. Where are my files? Did they not export properly or is it sending them to some random other location in my computer? If so, how do I find out where that location is and/or change it?

Depends on the OS, if windows then My Documents/makehuman/exports if linux ~/makehuman/exports.
