Posing my Character in Blender

Postby baudolino » Fri Apr 28, 2017 12:12 pm

Hello!

I'm quite new to blender and new to makehuman.

I want to pose a model created with makehuman in blender. I found out how to export a model in makehuman and import it in blender, but my screen in blender looks much different from what I've seen in tutorial videos.

The left image is a screenshot from a tutorial. This method seems to be quite good to edit a pose. The right image is a screenshot of what I see in blender. I tried to edit the pose with this method but find it very hard.

Can someone please explain me how I can simply edit the imported pose in blender? Or how I can get the same view like in the left image?

Thanks in advance!

Assuming the import method is MHX:

To get the full MHX feature set, you need to check the "override" checkbox when importing, and at the very bottom of the panel then set rig type to "exported mhx".
