Problems exporting from MH :(

Hi :D I'm new to this forum, and to MakeHuman and other computer graphics programs... I use MH and Poser11 since just few weeks and I use Marvelous Designer since a year (MD3, but I'm trying to get MD5). I don't know if you ever tried it, but if you did you probably saw how bad those avatars are... So I tried MakeHuman to create my own characters to pose them later on Poser. But here comes the problem: when I export the .dae file (rigged and complete) to MD, it doesn't move and doesn't even have textures. Therefore I tried to export it to Poser and it doesn't even appear. So, I tried to export to Blender with the .mhx2 plugin - here it appears with the skeleton but not textures :oops: - and then export again to Poser as collada. But instead it just imports divided .obj parts :| So, I'm at my wit's end now, I don't know what I should try, do you have any advice? :|

okay first off which versions of the various programs are you using and also what OS are you using??


on the MHX2 pipeline do you loose the textures at that step or in Poser???

(bonus bit could you upload the files somewhere and link them to your reply??)

And about the versions of the programs, I have Poser11 (latest), MD3, MH 1.1.0 and Blender 2.77, working on Windows 7 machine. Textures never appeared outside MakeHuman :roll: and the skeleton appeared only on Blender, but never managed to pose the character :cry:

The mhm-file is ok so far. I cannot help neither with Poser nor with MD. Don't possess them. But perhaps I can help with Blender. So the textures do not appear after MHX-import? What happens when you render it? When you want to pose in Blender, you need to select the skeleton then switch to pose mode. Select a bone to pose, then press r-key to rotate and maybe select an axis (x/y/z). Then move your mouse.

Yes, I see that the skin appears on Blender render. I supposed it didn't have any texture because it looked as white as a marble statue :D but when I export in collada from Blender to MD (to make the clothes) it doesn't even appear :oops: I don't know what's wrong with them all...

Blender has different view modes from wireframe/bounding box to material or textured or even preview render, while the latter could slow done the system dramatically. You should search for some blender tutorials. There are many good tutorials on youtube.
