UV maps not imported on cinema 4D?

Postby Aironenero » Thu Jun 11, 2015 9:43 am

I created a simple character on makehuman, then exported as collada (.dae) and imported the dae file in cinema 4D. XNormal see the UV map because can draw an efficient wireframe. But cinema 4D even if sees that there's a UV Map, that UV map is with all vertices on the upper left corner of the texturemap. Somebody know how to solve this problem?

You might try if you can get the UVs across with another format. Does it import FBX or OBJ correctly?

FBX is all broken. OBJ doesn't have skeleton exported. Ogre 3D i can't use it, same for STL.

Perhaps cinema4d has a uv transfer feature, or skeleton/vertex weights transfer feature.
Then you import a collada and an obj, and transfer the uvs from the obj to the collada imported mesh, or the other way around: apply the rig from the collada mesh on the obj mesh, and transfer the vertex weights.
