Hello there, any help would be appreciated. I've recently made a base mesh in Maya (I've only just started using it) and couldn't get quite the right shape for the hands and feet, so I imported some that I had made in Blender (I have a few years of experience in Blender) and combined and merged them appropriately. I can edit the vertices and edges of the hands and feet as if they are connected to the main mesh, but I cannot split UV seams on them, nor do the smoothing options from the main mesh apply to them? Can anyone tell me what's going on and how I can fix it?
