Can you import into Make Human?

Postby Blueant » Mon Jun 23, 2014 6:47 am

Hello, never even tried this program yet. Newbie.

I use Blender ver.2.66
can one import .obj files into Make Human?
I am intrigued with creating a skin texture for my human model and make human looks like it might help me.

I am still learning the black art of texturing....hoping maybe there is an easier way.

Thanks!

You can import obj files with quads in makehuman using the API and scripting engine. But it will not do you much good unless you intend to write a plugin.

But you can use the MakeClothes tool for blender to create proxies that can be fit to the human model and used in MakeHuman, such as hairs, clothes, alternative topologies, ...
See the documentation section on the website.

For texturing you don't need OBJ files. A material file (mhmat) and a png image will suffice. There is a material editor hidden in settings > plugins that might help.
