Ensure each pose has its own folder with the BVH file and a metadata file in the correct format. Create a '.pose' metadata file with the required information and place it in the same folder as the BVH file. After organizing your files, refresh the pose library in Blender or restart the program.
sorry to necropost, I am also experiencing this bug. an image of my assets folder attached.
I tried restarting, adding from zip but nothing seems to work. the assets won't appear in Blender where they are expected. I get the notification log that they should appear after restart.
is there any log I can find and share for this? thanks

That's not the way the assets will appear.
You need to create folders: “clothes”, “hair” etc. And in them, respectively, put clothes, hairstyles and so on.
