Help with my model

Postby Menno_Tomballe » Thu Feb 11, 2016 4:15 pm

Hi,

i'm new to this forum, and a total noob in 3D modeling.

I'm a master graphic design, and decided to work around identity this year.
Therefor I made a 3D scan of myself with i would like to position in all kinds of different 3D scenes.

Here's my cry for help.
I already tried to rig the model, but to use it completely, i deleted the eyes of the scan mesh and created new realistic eyes using a blender tutorial.
I've created the eyes, but they just don't seem to fit well in the eye socket, there are still holes and so... maybe also because eyelids aren't good or so? Or that is has no lacrimal punctum?

I'm becoming desperate. Therefor I'm looking for someone who can help with my model, fix the eye sockets and so... it's probably piece of cake for someone experienced.
So if anybody has the time and is willing to help me with finishing up this model, I would be so great full.

Kind regards,

Menno Tomballe

You could try http://www.russian3dscanner.com/ and wrap the MH basemesh around your scan.
Then you could create a custom target, allowing you to rig your personal character using MakeHuman.

VScorpianC https://www.youtube.com/user/vscorpianc

She has some excellent tutorials posted on working with MakeHuman, as well as the MakeHuman addons in Blender. Her Tutorials are a blessing for anyone who has not the experience, but have a desire to learn. She has one in particular that is all about setting up your MakeHuman scene to do a facial construction.

I would highly recommend spending the time to go thru all of her tutorials.

Can you explain this/these program(s) to me? I heard about it months ago and only briefly tried it (like two minutes) so my only real information about the program are the sped up pre-planned advertisement videos.

So how does it compare to Blender sculpting with shrinkwrap and then baking textures? I mean the program seems to just do that automatically after processing (and manually placing control points).
Also what's Makehuman's relation to it?

The program tries to offer an automated way of wrapping a basemesh around an arbitrary mesh.
It's something you could do manually, but you could save a lot of time with a tool like this.

MakeHuman's relation with it is that they were grateful for being able to use our basemesh in the tool, and we made a little mutual PR on each other's channels.
