New to the Game

Postby flight_101 » Sat Nov 29, 2014 10:09 pm

Hi,
Recently I downloaded makehuman 1.0 alpha 6.0 on the newest Ubuntu LTS. Something I have noticed though is that all the menu items seem to be out of wack. By this I mean that they are all in alignment however the "spaces" for the tabs activation are not in line with them.
I'm sorry that sounds confusing if I have to put it in a better explaination picture your keyboard. Numbers 1-10 tabs are in the right place, but when you press 1 nothing happens, but when you press 2 then the number 1 is displayed.
I hope that is a better description.

Please help

Alpha 6 is many years old. It's from an ancient code branch which has been since abandoned.

It's unfortunate that someone posted it to debian (and thus got it pushed to Ubuntu), but it seems hard to get it rectified.

You will have a hard time finding support for this code branch at this point.

The best recommendation would be to:

1. sudo apt-get remove makehuman
2. Download the latest release from http://download.tuxfamily.org/makehuman ... .2_all.deb
3. sudo dpkg -i makehuman-1.0.2_all.deb
4. sudo apt-get install -f
