Numeric Values?

Postby mattrified » Mon Aug 04, 2014 5:26 pm

Hey,

So I just started using MakeHuman, and I really like it! It feels similar to Mixamo's FUSE but with a lot more customization when it comes to some aspects, and it comes with several rigs, which works really well for my pipline -- so far I've just been using the basic.

This being said, is there a way to use numeric or percentage based inputs for other modeling sliders -- like nose flaring -- in the program like the measuring ones -- like neck circumference? If not, I may add it to the feature request list, but for some things like age, gender, etc., it'd be nice if I could put in a number value instead of it being ONLY the slider. I wanted to ask in the forum first in case there is a setting I was just missing.

Thanks, :)

There is a commandline fork that lets you set all values numerically.
We have not cluttered the user interface with value input, because it would only be values between 0 and 1, which have no significance. The only good way to set them is by tweaking the slider and verifying the result, anyway.

As for age, it would not let you input age, but just a number between 0 and 1 as well, so it would not be all that useful. I believe you can achieve it through the console or scripting feature using the human.setAgeYears() command, but there is no gui option for it. Keep in mind that these values are just an average guess, no exact value.
