The target armature you choose should not matter.

The error about nMisses you are getting is because it cannot find a source armature that matches the BVH file that you are trying to import.
Where did you get the BVH? Is it a new format different from any of the source armatures defined in makehuman?

For a source armature to work all bone names need to be referenced in the .src file. nMisses = 29 means that your BVH file contains 29 bones that are not mapped in a src rig definition.
You could solve this by defining your own .src rig. Maybe you could also share the BVH file with us (or at least the rest pose), if it is from a popular source maybe we can add support for it to MH.

PS: you can find info about the source rigs that are currently in MH here: http://www.makehuman.org/node/288
If you got your BVH from somewhere else, there's a good chance it is not supported (yet). Feel free to issue a feature request for adding a new source rig if you supply us with the details.

Hi.. and thx for reply..
i see that the error: nMisses = .. show when i select -> Guess source rig
when i unmark "Guess source rig", blender show other error..

Es:
If i use MB.src
"No target bone corresponding to source bone Hips (hips)"
or if i use prova.src (my edit .src file)
"No target bone corresponding to source bone Spine1 (spine..."

Yes i know that the .src file corresponding to BVH bone... but my BVH bone is a simple IPI MOCAP animation, i follow this procedure for exporting the bvh:

1) Track the animation
2) Go to export
3) (i dont know that it is correct) Marck: - Advance motion transfert
- Recenter coordinate system on character in first frame
- Export T-pose in first frame

4) a. Click "Export animation" for General or Blender 2.56 and older
b. or Right click on Take 1 Part and select: export takes as BVH, FBX, ecc..

I use game.trg file and this softwares version:
- Blender 2.64.0 r51232
- IPI Mocap 2.1.3.143 (FREE TRIAL EDITION)
- MakeHuman 1.0 alpha 7

The BVH file is this:
https://hotfile.com/dl/183906880/c8fcdb ... i.bvh.html
I wish, if you can.. so sorry.. , help me to edit the src file for this BVH or explain me what procedure is incorrect.. i have post 2 video of my procedure.. Thx very much

I fixed the problem
the bvh of IPIMocap when export by "For Blender 2.59 and older" have different bones's name.. so i have export by "General BVH"
This is the new BVH:
https://hotfile.com/dl/184199910/f66aa5 ... 1.bvh.html

Ok, later.. i have make a IPI.src file for IPIMocap General BVH.. and it work fine.
This is the ipi.src file:
https://hotfile.com/dl/184198992/ee2d812/ipi2.src.html
its good and correct?

but:

1) i have add all fingers.. its ok or not?

2) i have a problem with Clavicle.. the Clavicle go down and deform the human's Chest

see the new video:
http://youtu.be/ybbkDjKimdo

please and help me..
thanks again..

This looks like a problem with vertex weights. It was a long time ago since I weighted the game rig, and I evidently did not do a very good job.

You could also try to turn Clavicle offsets on or off and retarget again.

Its a problem of IPIMocap or MakeHuman?
