Broken DAE armature in shoulder section

Using 0.9.1 RC1 on amd64 linux, dae files imported in blender have queer shoulder section armatures (looks like missing shoulders, upperarm directly connected to center of body). Using makehuman in Windows XP produces correct armature, on the other hand. I tried runnning makehuman in wine and it also produces wrong armature; this where I get very confused about what could be the source of the problem... Any ideas appreciated.
