Pinky rotation r2108

The pinky finger of the model, when exported into blender 2.56.2 r 35301 does some seriously disturbing bending when, as an example, making a fist.
I do not claim to be an expert but it appears that the initial knuckle joint is improperly positioned? This type of bending causes severe mesh distortion.
Ive attached a screencap.

If someone can guide me through fixing this that would be great or Ill content myself in knowing I brought it to the devs attention and wait for a fix in the model.

I'm not sure that it is a problem with the placement of the pinky knuckle. It is placed further back than the other knuckles, but so it is on my hand. But perhaps it should be moved a bit forward.

The weight-painting where the fingers meet the hand is a total disaster, though. The whole hand rig needs to be remade; I will go back to a rig with several palm bones, to make it possible to spread and cup the hand.
