Howdy, boys and girls.
Yeppers, I ain't been around much of late since life calls.
I is back to tell you about my latest happenings in the software side of things.
I am about ready to install the latest Mint, v22.1 Xia Cinnamon Edition, but I am still running Wilma v21, and this is hosting an instance of Blender 4.3.1 with the MPFB v2.0.8 extension. After a lot of file managing, I got my stuff moved over from the previous environment which was Blender 4.2 with MPFB 2.0.7.
So, I have begun to create humans again after having stopped at my female_017 blend. I am doing a blend for female_018 as seen in the screenshot below:
This model is a rather short and very obese Caucasian woman in her early forties. A rather large collection of custom targets were employed in her creation, including the vast set created by Elvaerwyn for MakeHuman Community way back in 2022. Without these targets, it is not possible to arrive at a true SSBBW with this much realism.
I am forever in debt of gratitude for her hard work and total generosity in making this set available. Since that time, she has placed most of these files in the repository and linked them on the Assets page at the Community forum links bar. Many have even been added to the zip collections for the Blender setup at the MPFB page.
The instance runs fine on a c2015 custom built workstation based on Haswell technology including the Intel Xeon 1246v3, 32GB Kingston DDR3, Gigabyte GTX960 4GB, and over seven terabytes o storage space which includes Samsung SSD booters and WD HDD data store. It runs nicely in Cycles. Renders average about 5 to 10 minutes for a solo human with one light on the grid, as we see in the screenshot capturing the Blender viewport set for Cycles.
