Ammo belt around the waist. (both genders)
When you say "ammo belt" that means many things to me.
For instance:

- Machine gun belt 7.62 NATO ammo

In spite of the name I believe that is a machine gun belt for 7.62 NATO rounds (hard to tell without a scale reference) that wouldn't last very long in a fire fight. Sometimes people wore two of these in Vietnam across their chest. They weren't carrying ammo for themselves but a team mate.
or

- Skeet Shooter's Belt (old school)

Something I used to wear in the day when I used to compete in skeet shooting. Never got very far into it like my great uncle who was the East Coast champion for a while
or

- Belt for M1 stripper clip ammo (30-06)

Something really old school from WW-I
Slightly more modern from my era in the military:

- M14 Magazine pouch with ALICE gear
- m14-mag-pouches.jpeg (7.97 KiB) Viewed 7156 times
M14 ammo got really heavy after a while
another example from my time:

- M1911 ammo pouch

If the magazines were loaded correctly there were five rounds per magazine for a total of ten rounds on your hip plus five more in the pistol magazine well. I normally had an extra round "in the pipe" just in case.
So which are you looking for?
