Asianesque

Postby N.O.A. » Thu Dec 20, 2012 12:41 pm

hello there!....
so I made a new model here...
leasianfacepng.png
the face

and it's the first time I did not need to edit it in Blender!

...so I guess I'll contribute the model and maybe the texture also, but i'll edit it first cause the hand looks weird (>w<)

pose

the pose is just .... >_< and the hair is just weird....... rendered with cycles...and the render time just went forever.... brightness adjusted with Gimp...

I'll post more renders ... :3

Wow, that looks great.
Wonderful that you achieved the face without post editing, and thank you for sharing it back!
It's great to see quality contributions to the MH library. Let's make it grow! :D

Hi N.O.A.
a very interesting result, thank you.
Improving the pose and the expression will make her very realistic...

Best,

Manuel

aaaand more render stuffs

I was just testing some free HDRI images I've downloaded in Deviantart:

.....
cyclesweirdness.png
...?

I have edited the wrinkles part in blender cause it makes her look old >w<
..weirdly, the teeth you can slightly see is the lower teeth... which is wrong....how can I make it right?
I already noticed it long ago when I make my characters smile with the old expressions.... when they smile, the teeth that is visible is the lower teeth! But it should be the upper...cause I smile like that... or maybe something's wrong with me? >_<

anyway...
fightsceneinforest.png
um?

A random fight scene appears!
...ya, I need to improve more on the posing and expressions.... but it's VERY HARD to do it.... the arms became crazy and weirdly twisted

aaand MOAR renders with an experimental texture i made

geishanumber1.png
a random geisha

a geisha relaxing...

and then..

geishamurai.png
a nekkid geisha with a sword

yeah, she's not wearing anything... cause it's hard for me to model a descent kimono or something... I'm not good in modelling (>w<)
...and the index finger is weird... don't know how to fix it

...all the pictures are rendered with cycles and CPU... and yes it's dying lols

comments & suggestions are welcome!

Wow! She's a real cutie. :D

The first pic with her in the orange bra looks great. But I noticed the larger version looks a bit "grainy."
Don't worry. I read you mentioned something about Cpu/Cycles dying or something like that. Even up to this day, "Cycles," scares me.
It's so "CPU intensive." At least it doesn't "destroy computers," like other software.
I still prefer "Blender Render." :)
The first orange bra one is my favourite. :D

The random fight scene one is nice. But I didn't realise she had "two swords" in her hand. At first glance, I thought they were "sticks."
There's some sort of "mirror like wood or something in front of her too. Hmm........

The "Geisha relaxing" is nice. The sheet up to her chest area is nice.
But the part, lower down to her legs, make it look like a "white sheet of thin cardboard/paper."

I like the last one with her, holding a sword.
The "white face paint" is nice.

I myself, I'm still learning to model a Kimono. He! He!
Even a Japanese umbrella. Lol!
