MakeWalk does not recognize MHX rig?

MakeWalk does not recognize MHX rig?

I'm working with an .mhx export from .svn.

MakeWalk reports an error when I try to load and retarget.

Does the rig have to be in rest position?

Just tested with MH and MakeWalk in svn. I got no error when pressing Load and Retarget. Perhaps it depends on the Blender version. I'm using Blender 2.68.5 r60098.

There was another problem though. When retargeting a bvh file from the CMU database the legs started to point inwards. The muscle rig did not have this problme. The cause is that I put rotation locks on the forearms and shins. If you turn off these locks the animation is better. However, there might be problems to transfer the animation to the IK bones in this case.

I'm using 2.69 and the CMU files.

I was trying to apply a .bvh to an already posed model. Might that be the problem?

I think you're only going to get a good response (or: we are only able to help) if you show us the contents of your blender log file, with at least the complete error. You can grab it from the console.

This showed me what part of the problem was. I still had both Makewalk and the old Mocap tool installed, and it was using the Mocap tool when I pressed the Makewalk button. When I removed the Mocap tool, it recognized the A8 rig, but didn't load the keyframes.

I'm still working on it.

You should delete possibly conflicting scripts from your script folder.

I deleted the vestiges of the old Mocap and MW now works fine with a fresh import (unposed) of A8.

My first posed mesh mangles the movements, so I've discarded it.
