Linux Mint 17 - Exporting to Blender

Postby inboudayo » Fri Jun 19, 2015 5:31 pm

I have installed both MakeHuman and Blender directly from the repositories (I'm running Linux Mint 17). I created a model and exported with the following settings:

However, when I attempt to import into Blender I get the following message which states "Expected MHX 1.16 but the loaded file has version MHX 1.00":

I have tried disabling the "enforce version" option but doing so does not appear to preserve the model, I just get a bunch of garbage. It almost sounds like I have an outdated version of MakeHuman but 1.0.2 is the current stable release at the time of posting this.

Any ideas how to resolve this issue?

The thing is, that the version currently in the software repositories of debian is ancient.
It's a release from 3 years ago or something, and has nothing to do with the version of MakeHuman that is currently being developed.
Support for that version has officially ended.

I recommend downloading the latest version from makehuman.org
Or if you prefer the debian repositories, since recently debian unstable has accepted a new version of MakeHuman in its repositories: https://packages.debian.org/sid/makehuman
