In Blender it's a matter of editing, the ease or difficulty of which depends upon your skill level and artistic talent. Proportional editing, Loop Tools and Smooth Vertex are your best friends when it comes to such tasks. It's not rocket science, it's just something you have to practice.
But RobBaer has the better idea, which is to use the modeling sliders (and the symmetry tools, if you're into symmetrical humans) in MakeHuman to get the human into the form you want, and then do the fine tuning in Blender.
