Creating avatars of self at different ages

Postby Philm1702 » Wed Nov 14, 2018 8:06 pm

Hi
I want to make a series of avatars of myself at different ages. The face can come from photographs but the younger I am the fewer photos there are. Is there something like Makehuman that allows facial pictures to be imported? Is there a way makehuman can do that? I am very new at this. Secondally is anyone aware if any software for foward and back ageing from photos. It's not do much the going foward thatr is the problem but the younger end of the range. What pictures I have from when I was very young are black and white and not very good.

So 2 things really. Creating avatars of different ages and sizes with my face at that age and secondally a piece of software that can use my pictures at different ages to fill in the gaps alowwing morphing from how I look now to how i looked back then.

Thoughts and suggestions welcome

Each one would have to be modelled separately though you could try starting with the youngest face then applying the ageing modifier to model the face will probably need to set one of your reference photos as the background there is no way currently to actually use that photo as input it's strictly a manual process for now as we have no automatic way of digitally reading the image to translate into mesh parameters.

Enjoy the Choice :)

Thanks for the reply. I'm finding it quite a steep learning curve. Any recomended information sources /tutorials/ books on avatar creation?

The learning curve is really just trying and seeing what each target does and remembering that all art is practice and process the old ten thousand hours to mastery cliche ;) So just keep at it it may take time but there is lots of satisfaction when it finally does work the way you want it to.

Enjoy the Choice :)
