Where are male genitals???

Postby metrov » Tue Sep 22, 2015 8:18 pm

I'm a fine art sculptor, and often use Make Human to create digital designs. I'm happy and grateful to have MakeHuman, but my Lord, what to do about the male's vagina smooth crotch? How can I submit sculpture proposals with a male that is not really male? It's ridiculous! Where are the genitals? I've heard MH used to have them? They need to come back. Please!

Thanks again for the link to male & female genitalia for MakeHuman: http://www.makehumancommunity.org/proxies.html However, the links go to pages of text. Could you please direct me to a page that explains how to use these "proxies" in MakeHuman? I just can't seem to find any info re: proxies for Makehuman. Thanks very much!

The procedure is the same as for clothes, except you place the files under "proxymeshes" rather than under "clothes"

Thanks, again, Joeypal... I followed the directions for adding the genitals proxy to the "ProxyMeshes" folder. However, the genitals don't work in either version 1.0.1. or 1.1.0. (r1958). Does anyone happen to know which version of MH the genital proxy works with? Thanks

Could you tell us what doesn't work? Where did you put the proxies? Did you use the skins which include genitals? It's hard to help you without knowing what you do. Try to be more specific.

I downloaded 1) "adult_male_genitalia.proxy" 2) "adult_male_genitalia.obj" 3)"adult_male_genitalia.thumb" from http://www.makehumancommunity.org/proxy/adult_male_genitalia_by_manuel_bastioni.html. Then I put all three files in "MakeHuman/data/proxymeshes" directory in their own folder called, "Adult Male Genitalia."

Then, I opened MH, and created a male using the "Main" tab. Then I clicked the "Gender" tab. If I had made a female, I'm able to change the size and shape of the breasts. However, upon creating a male, the sliders for changing size and shape of male genitalia do not move. They are frozen, and no genitalia appears on the male. This is what I mean when I say, the proxy is "not working." I tried this procedure with MH v.1.0.1. and MH v.1.1.0 with same results.

Please let me know if I can provide any additional info. Thanks for your help!

The proxies are not controlled by sliders. They are selected under geometries -> topologies.
