version 1-0-0 problems

Postby ello » Wed Mar 25, 2009 9:39 am

hey there.. i just got aware that this version is out and instantly installed it. anyhow, i am facing quite some problems. most buttons seem to be inactive and the gui deperately needs some mouse over tooltips.

the only meny that works is the one which is active after starting the app.
but i cannot click and drag values anymore? thats more a step back in my opinion...
a security question on exit would be cool, too.

pressing the eye icon on at the top switches to some unknown mode and the human disappears. pressing the home button brings the human back on screen.

i hope you can make this app as usable as the 0.9 was..
just my 2c

cheers,

What you have been running is not 1.0.0 but merely a pre-alpha version of 1.0.0. The first of at least 9 alpha's and beta's before we reach 1.0.0.

You can find a detailed list of what works and what doesn't in the wiki: http://makehuman.wiki.sourceforge.net/
There is also a roadmap where you can see what features are being worked on at the moment, and when you might expect certain features: http://makehuman.wiki.sourceforge.net/Release_RoadMap

That code is in the nightly build for 32-bit Ubuntu (see http://mh.jwp.se/). It'll be in the Alpha 1 release due quite soon.

Hallo,
