Please make models airtight

Postby mercurius » Fri Nov 15, 2013 7:36 pm

Please make models airtight, or provide an airtight option.
This would make them 3d printable, and also help to skin them in some 3d applications, like Modo.
All this would require is closing the holes in the ears, eyes, and mouth.

thanks for any consideration.

The A8 mesh (in the nightly build) is airtight with helpers, it has helpers that close the eye sockets and mouth.

Thanks for the reply.
I know about helpers that provide clothes and hair.
How do the helper that close the eye sockets and mouth work?
Which work tab are they in?

Just have a look at an exported A8 mesh. It always has closed eye sockets and mouth opening.
Actually these are not helpers but part of the basemesh. But we use them to fit teeth and mouth insides against, or eyes in case of the eye sockets.

So you do not need to do anything special, just export using the nightly. It's always perfectly closed.
