POV-Ray path fault?

Postby Rapscallion » Thu Aug 08, 2013 6:41 pm

Hello,

I understand that the render options in MH are still experimental but the solution to this bug might be simple.
Don't know if any one else is aware of, or has experienced this but the POV-Ray render option gives me the following message box if I choose the export and render option:

POV-Ray not found
You don't seem to have POV-Ray installed or the path is incorrect.

This is despite having typed the correct path in the provided field.
I'm using POV-Ray version 3.62 and by default the executables (pvengine.exe and pvengine-sse2.exe) install to c:\program files\pov-ray for windows v3.62\bin

My insallation of POV-Ray works fine on its own.

Regards to all.

Can you try to use the [...] button to locate the folder with binary, instead to write it by hand?
What operating system are you using?

Hi Manuel,

I'm using MH V1.0 alpha7 with Windows XP Pro (service pack 3).
I don't have a [...] button.

I checked the path about three times to ensure that I was typing it correctly.

Thanks.

Ah...alpha7.
Povray support is less than experimental in it.
I'm sorry the alpha8 nighlty are not yet ready for download: all these things are fixed.
We are working hard to restore the nightly soon.

If you want I can tell you how to try the alpha8 from svn.

It require an svn client, python 2.7 and some python tools. No build is required since alpha8 is pure python.

Please do! I'd love to give it a try.

No I don't. But, if it is downloadable I'll download it and look at how to use it.
