make human using python scripts?

Postby jerryzhang » Tue Dec 31, 2019 5:50 am

Hi, everybody. I am working on create human model with python scripts instead of using the "makeHuman" software interface, what I need is that run a python script with some parameters such as gender, height, bone length and so on and gererate a .fbx format human model file. And I do download the makehuman commandline repo from https://bitbucket.org/duststorm01/makeh ... downloads/. But when I run "python makehuman.py" commandline, it just start the makehuman software which seems not what I am looking for.
So, I am make this post to ask if there is a way for me to "run a python script with some parameters such as gender, height, bone length and so on and gererate a .fbx format human model file", and if it is, then how, is there any construction or examples?
Thanks and happy new year! :)

Take a look at this as an exemple of code for generating models via code: https://youtu.be/jRHnJX-TdT4

In order to control MH via command line, there is the CLI parts of the socket plugin: https://github.com/makehumancommunity/c ... ins-socket

I guess you could modify/extend these.

The command line branch of MH that existed before is very outdated, and I am not sure it would work for your purposes.
