anatomical characteristics of the models

Postby Michela » Tue Aug 14, 2018 11:38 am

Dear all,
I remember that there was a document explaining the data used to define the default anatomical characteristics of the models for the avatars.
If I remember well, the dimension of the body and body parts fit data from the general population and these are the reference values determining the modifications linked to age and gender of the avatar, am I wrong?
I need to read and cite this document, could someone tell me where I can find it?
And then, is there a standardize way to cite the Make Human tool in a scientific paper?

Thank you very much for your answer

I think the only formal article available is this: https://dl.acm.org/citation.cfm?id=1341782 (I don't have the full text version)

If you want to refer to makehuman as such, you could refer to one of the background documents. For example:

Code: Select all
MakeHuman (2018) : What is MakeHuman? Retrieved from http://www.makehumancommunity.org/wiki/Documentation:What_is_MakeHuman%3F

(this largely follows the APA standard, see http://www.bibme.org/citation-guide/apa/website/)

Or simply refer to the main site (http://www.makehumancommunity.org).
