Making touchable soft body physic for humanoids in real time

Postby PRAKHAR » Mon May 08, 2017 5:13 pm

Hello friends,
Blender is hitting the arena of animation nowadays.
Physics which is used in this software is really game changing, helps us a lot during our modeling & animation Soft Body
is a very nice tool which helps us in modelling our daily objects like wires, spring, leather, plastics, strings, rubber etc. Even human beings, Weight Paints plays epic role in this.
So, I need help in creating such weight paint for humanoids (female) which can be used in its soft body

This is a very long shot. A while back I used soft bodies to animate female breasts which worked quite ok. For your examples you'd need two things: A very high poly human mesh to allow for the deformations shown and a lower poly control mesh (cage) where you actually run your softbody simulation on. The simulated cage deforms the human mesh by using a mesh deform modifier. By using two meshes you get smoother deformations. In many cases you also need something else: A way to preserve the volume of the deformed human mesh. Skin doesn't dissapear by getting squeezed. Unfortunately I never found a way to preserve volume. Soft bodies don't provide this feature.

BTW: Forget about realtime!

Oh c'mon friend if you can have weight paint features & can be applied to your character through soft body, so of course computer will recognise each vertices of mesh to be deformed & how much it's to be
I have seen examples of breast physics that's to lengthy man, soft body on whole is better but ya it'll take lot of time for weight painting
