To build on Mac OS, looks like all you need do,from the mh_phoenix dir, is
open a terminal (Apps -> Utils -> Terminal, I think) and
cd to the working copy dir , then enter either

sh compile_src_osx.sh or make -f Makefile_osx. these are equivalent commands.

I'm guessing the glut, opengl, carbon and Appkit libraries are already there

OK.. That was a learning experience. First compile from the Terminal app.. Maybe I am onto something here..heh..Now I have the UNIX executable file sitting in the trunk/mh_phoenix directory. I tried putting it in the app package with the MakeHuman app but that didn't do anything. Wjen i double click te MH executable it runs the Terminal and then opens. When I run the MH_phoenix executable, it opens the terminal ad then gives me an error that it cannot find the main.py

randy-blains-computer:~ randyblain$ /Applications/MakeHuman\ 0.9.1RC1.app/Contents/MacOS/MH_Phoenix; exit
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "<string>", line 1, in ?
IOError: [Errno 2] No such file or directory: 'main.py'

[Process completed]

So.. I just need to put it in the right place..correct? If so, which directory? Do I need to add any other files to the application package directory to get the MH_Phoenix interface to show up..or is it a key combo? All help detailed will assist me and others trying to do this.

Please don't try to compile it...it's absolute Work In Progress, not ready, not features, not usable yet.
The expression scrrenshots above is from MH0.9.1RC1 while The phoenix result actually is just:

We are working hard on it, but it require some months to be usable.
