Hello everyone,

I'm trying to figure out how to reduce the polygon count of models while keeping them low-poly using the latest version of MPFB within Blender 4.3. I came across something called " proxies ," but I couldn't find any tutorials or detailed
information on how to use them or whether they are the correct method for reducing polygons.
only found this link :
https://static.makehumancommunity.org/m ... 0A7_a-MM0g

My goal is to create a human model, texture it, and then reduce the polygon count efficiently. What is the best approach to achieve this? Any guidance or resources would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

A proxy/topology is conceptually a full body piece of clothing. You simply equip it, same as clothes. Once you are satsified with the character (having equiped all other clothes etc), you can delete the base mesh and only use the proxy as body.

Proxies are installed with the makehuman system asset pack, and are available on the apply assets panel.
