Depending on the machine 22.04 has produced some headache, but I think it has been more or less successful for most. Don't know if there is any useful info for you in this issue thread: https://github.com/makehumancommunity/makehuman/issues/ a small world cup
Perhaps something like this will work:
sudo apt install python3-numpy python3-pyqt5 python3-pyqt5.qtopengl python3-pyqt5.qtsvg python3-opengl
git clone https://github.com/makehumancommunity/makehuman.git
cd ~/makehuman/makehuman
download_assets_git.py
git pull origin master
python3 makehuman
