Working with FaceGen + MH, something is missing.

The program is supposed to come with some model sets including Make Human but among the ones I got the MH doesn't seem to be included, does it come only with 3.6 or how does it work?

Nope.
…or how does it work?

The program can work with MH, but it is quite a pain to organize:
MakeHuman
  • Select the MakeHuman model set. The 'a8_v74' mesh will appear. Export to OBJ
  • Use the MakeTarget Blender plugin to create a .target file (the MakeTarget standalone program uses an older incompatible mesh)
  • Overlay the original MakeHuman mouth and teeth textures on the exported texture image, if desired.

When I read "select the MakeHuman model set" I thought it would mean inside the program.

So I have to make my own model set using Customizer from the ground up?

Apparently so… and use the file obtained from FaceGen as a target for morphing… if I understand the instructions correctly. I haven't worked with FaceGen.

What are the advantages of FaceGen versus creating faces in MH itself?

For me at least it would be one less step by having FG making the morph target for a custom face instead of me trying to do it by hand using pictures every time, MH sliders are just too limiting in a few places.
